 A 12 Step Guide To Mastering  Your
DHS Club Business With ClubBucks

ONE:  Project confidence through your appearance and your approach. In your approach, enter each day with total belief in your impending success and the realization of your goals. Understand that ClubBucks is unique and at this point, you have no competition with a business plan that we have proven. Create a personal web page with your testimony (including your belief in yourself and in our ClubBucks business together) that offers a picture of you as a winner in both words AND a with a photograph. Use what you have until you get what you want, but always remember this page introduces you to your team and your potential team who have online access. Some of your success depends on the willing effort of others. A personal web page is essential in showing others online (who are the most skeptical group of people anywhere) that you are a real person with a real interest in sharing your ideas AND showing who you are. You have proof from other teams to show them how ClubBucks is being accepted in the marketplace. Creating a personal page that says you are a winner AND one that provides information on our success to date can mean the difference between a few hundred dollars a month and THOUSANDS of dollars a month with your DHS Club business and the introduction of ClubBucks.

TWO:  Take pride in your work and in yourself. You are offering others a valuable way to save money and make money. When you work your business consistently and persistently, you are meeting your responsibilities and capitalizing on your potential. As you create success momentum, come to understand that there is never any need to look down on anyone who is less effective than you are. There are too many people to talk to, too many businesses to introduce ClubBucks to, to get hung up on any one person or any one business. One of your goals should be an honest pride in what you do, and you can feel good that you are "giving it away" as opposed to trying to "sell" it. If you believe in our business, it should show in what you do and say. Be proud that you are pioneering a great idea.

THREE:  Radiate confidence through knowledge. Learn everything you need to know about ClubBucks and how it benefits anyone who uses it. When you choose to "earn while you learn", it is OK to make mistakes as long as you learn from them, but always understand that your prospects and you downline look to you for your experience in knowing and understanding what the DHS Club and ClubBucks is about. The people you come in contact with can only be moved by YOUR measure of belief, and by the conviction and confidence YOU display in our business. Having faith in your business and yourself shows you have faith in your worth, too, and, in building your ClubBucks success. If you will proceed with faith, you'll find that your financial net worth increases regularly. Help others understand that creating large checks is a step-by-step process, designed to be accomplished over just a few years (rather than working a job for 40 years to a retirement income) and that everyone who gets a large check started out with a small one.

FOUR:  Lead people warmly and lovingly. One of the great byproducts of our business is building relationships with people who are alive on the planet and actively building successful lives in a addition to building successful businesses. In order to be prepared for any negativity you may encounter, you must understand that some will always believe we are in the business of unjustly separating money from unwilling people, but there is no truth to that kind of thinking. As we learn to qualify people for our business, we develop an understanding that there are those who will not profit from our business AS A BUSINESS, but everyone has the potential to save money with the DHS Club's consumer opportunity as a ClubBucks card member and user. In your quest for finding other leaders like yourself, you will meet people with problems you can't solve, personal growth issues that keep them from succeeding in life, let alone business. Develop an understanding that not everyone will see what YOU see. You WILL meet enough who DO "get it" to create a great, growing business. As you go through the process of qualifying people, just share all you know about our business a little at a time, and know with all your heart that you are providing people with a worthwhile benefit through their membership in the DHS Club, and that giving away ClubBucks to members, merchants and affinity groups is a sound business principle in which everyone wins.

FIVE:  Learn to look to only one person for your self-assurance -- YOU!

Understand that you are now among a group of people offering something unique and it holds the potential to make you wealthy, especially here at the beginning. Your own self-assurance is required in overcoming the inertia of the status quo. If you are like me, you sometimes can see that we live in a world where many people really don't care. Some are apathetic about even their own welfare beyond immediate satisfactions. You'll have to go through your numbers to find a few good people who are sincerely interested enough to take action. You can find and help those who DO care through our opportunity, and recognize that you are in the business of finding people who have the capacity to care about others. Like you, they should be people with the capacity to believe in themselves. If you help them find faith in the fact that our business works very well, they can act with assurance. You can lead by example in acting with assurance YOURSELF.

SIX:   It is OK to want to get rich. It is OK for you. It is OK for others. There is nothing wrong with getting rich as long as the people you serve along the way benefit. It will serve you well to shape your values and organize your lifestyle to achieve the object of getting rich over time. ClubBucks is designed as a financial vehicle to help you get to where you want to be, over time.

SEVEN:  YOU MUST HAVE DESIRE IF YOU WANT TO SUCCEED!  You can be as capable as anyone, but if you don't have DESIRE beyond that of the average person, you will not persist consistently to the point of ultimate success. Desire is more than just wishing (and much more than just talking) , it is a stimulus that produces action each and every day in your thinking and your development of success habits. You must tell yourself right now and daily that whatever problems or discomfort you encounter in learning and personal growth toward success are NOTHING compared to your desire. DESIRE IS A FACTOR YOU CONTROL EXCLUSIVELY! Use it or lose it!

EIGHT:  Learn what your fears are. This is not easy, as each of us becomes good at concealing them (even from ourselves) over time. Winners persevere in overcoming their fears. They learn what they fear. They attack it, they overcome it. It does take being honest with that person in the mirror, but be assured that there is a confidence that comes from overcoming fear. When it comes to fear, either you master it, or it masters you. Fear will stop you cold. People overcome their fears all the time. You can bet there there is not one successful person who has not had to overcome one kind of fear or another. Fear will kill the dreams of many. Don't be victimized by your own fears. Grow as a person and overcome them, whatever they are. Our Masters Of Marketing training for ClubBucks addresses overcoming fears that will keep you from achievement.

NINE:  BE UP!  Show your excitement!  Don't let your enthusiasm depend on others or on outside events. Do you allow yourself to be bumped around from side to side by circumstances or concern with what others may think? You must come to understand that YOU can take the wheel and steer you life any place you truly want it to go. Will you be the driver in your life, or will you be a mere passenger? That choice is ALWAYS yours and no one else's.

Most people only feel good when things are going well. People who indulge in that behavior are determined to remain average. You can be like them and just go with the flow,

OR YOU CAN BE EXCITED ABOUT LIFE!

We all have problems. They will come to you. They come to us all. If not this week, next week. Successful people who live in the present moment in their lives know and understand this. They know that things change -- but they also know that what won't change is their superior performance, regardless of circumstances. You CAN be a happy person. You CAN bring your own sunshine. Don't let little things bother you. Solve your problems, handle your challenges. Then forget them. What's done is done.

Here's a common trait among champions -- they know that no matter how good they get, they are going to fail sometimes between successes. And, while they may be temporarily failing, they don't hide their true feelings, because they are still filled with ENTHUSIASM!

TEN:  Get emotionally involved with the people you serve! Care about people in your organization. Care about your downline and your prospects. Make sure it comes through loud and clear that you do care. No one wants to do business with someone who obviously cares only about the cash register ringing. If you give people an emotional reason to want to do business with you, be assured that it can be more powerful than many other reasons.

It is true what we have always heard:

PEOPLE DO NOT CARE HOW MUCH YOU KNOW UNTIL THEY KNOW HOW MUCH YOU CARE.

ELEVEN:  Does it bother you when you encounter people who don't do what they say they'll do? Does it bother you that some people do not become VIPs? Does it bother you that some of those who do become VIPs do not get right to work? That some do not even answer your emails?

GET OVER IT!!!   It is NOT personal.

If you treat your business like a business, you have the obligation to come to understand that this is indeed just business in the business world.

You cannot prevent occasional situations that disappoint most people. You CAN, however, train yourself to take them in stride. Learn not to take anything that may disappoint you personally. Achievement, however, should be taken very personally. As you acquire it, revel in it, even as you progress toward more. Disappointment becomes very small and forgettable compared to it.

TWELVE:  CONTINUING EDUCATION IS A MUST.

Invest in your mind. All successful people do at some point, and the most successful do so regularly.

I'm talking about inspirational books, cassettes, seminars, videos, etc. The best seminars you can attend are DHS Club Masters Of Marketing presentations and regional conferences. The very best is our national convention. Look at attending these events as an investment in yourself and in your future.

As far as my own DHS Club career is concerned, I believe I have put my money where my mouth is in continuing education, though I have little formal schooling.

When you invest in your mind, finer things begin gravitating to you. More enjoyable trips, a more comfortable home, a newer and better car, the goodies that make life more pleasant. You'll begin to have more of them when you invest in YOU.  Do that regularly, too.

It was Ben Franklin who said:

"Empty the coins in your purse into your mind, and your mind will fill your purse with gold".

Don't ever doubt for a second that you've found the best opportunity anywhere with more advantages than any other. Clubbucks is unique and we are its pioneers.
